SESSION TWO

With our purpose grounded in application that leads to transformation, we focused on the scriptural elements of preaching and teaching in our second session.

This session was specifically designed for preaching. However, if you communicate in any ministry setting, I encourage you to consider the implications of this session. We all inevitably invoke the Bible in our content. Knowing how to do that correctly is important. Yet, there’s more than just accurate interpretation.

BEFORE SESSION THREE:

  1. If you’re preaching soon, evaluate how interesting you made the truth or principle. Did you interpret what’s true but neglect why it mattered to your audience?
  2. How did you specifically apply the interesting true to inspire application?
  3. If you are new to interpretation, how well did you leverage an interpretive process?
